Core would like to congratulate Hackney RFC on the great strides they are making in community development and with their success in helping young people develop their skill in sport, nurturing the rising stars of tomorrow.

Jules Pipe, Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney, presented the Hackney Youth Sports Funding Certificate of Achievement to Lola Martinez-Rufete at Hackney RFC - a club that celebrated its golden jubilee last year and has been supporting young individuals interested in taking their sport skills to the next levels of recognition. Morgan Whitlock of Hackney RFC Sponsorship Committee said: "I can't tell you how satisfying it has been to see some of those young members we gave a start to in rugby go on to achieve so much in the game."

The club won the Hackney Sports Club of the Year title in 2015 and are currently counting 225 young players, ages 5-18, playing rugby on a weekly basis. Core have been one of the sponsors for Hackney RFC since 2007 and are pleased to play a small part in engaging with the local community that encourages youths, ladies and seniors to take part in rugby.

Eamon McGann, Director at Core, was present at the award ceremony. "I was delighted to see a talent pool of such passionately driven youths. It was great hearing about Lola's successes and a pleasure to see her wear the Hackney RFC shirt with the Core logo."
