Discovering Potential Savings

The journey begins with a thorough discovery phase. Our team delves deep into your current Azure usage to uncover potential savings and optimisation opportunities. By tracking and recording our recommendations, and gaining your consent to proceed, we ensure transparency and agreement every step of the way.

Tracking and Confirmation

After implementing our recommendations, we'll analyse your subsequent Microsoft invoice against our carefully crafted assessment criteria. This will confirm the savings achieved through the remediation plan, and help us determine the net figure — which represents our shared success.

Setting the Conditions

Our Azure 'gain-share' offer is tailored to fit the unique needs of each customer. However, certain conditions apply to ensure profitability for both parties:

Reservations for 12 months to three years are integral to the cost-saving strategies. Although savings plans are an alternative, they may not yield the same level of savings. We focus on areas within our support scope to calculate potential savings, ensuring accurate and fair assessments.

Understanding the Caveats

Our promise to track cost reductions with precision takes several factors into account:

  • Cost reductions will be measured per resource, and our gain-share calculations will include only the resources Core can take responsibility for optimising.
  • New deployments and resource deletions are excluded from our tracking unless directly attributable to Core's initiatives.
  • External factors like the monthly USD/GBP exchange rate and Microsoft pricing changes are considered to provide a clear view of the savings generated.

Awareness of Trade-Offs

Our proposition comes with trade-offs that are important for both our sales team and customers to understand. For instance, while Compute Reservations can lead to savings of up to 65%, they do require a commitment for the duration of the reservation term.
