The Requirement
Capricorn Energy engaged CompanyNet to develop an effective global intranet that would be the first port of call for employees searching for information.
Capricorn Energy wanted a system that would avoid frustrations felt with their existing system, and reinforce the Capricorn brand across the company.
CompanyNet implemented a solution based on our Kira intranet accelerator, with a decentralised authoring model to encourage all staff to share key information.
The system also includes an interactive staff directory, which can be searched not only by name and department, but by skills, interests and experience.

The Result

The system was further integrated with Capricorn Energy's existing electronic document/record management (EDRM) system. The programme of work was later extended, and we went on to replace these systems with a SharePoint-based solution that integrates fully with the intranet.
